The Independence – A Trace Hotel is a new-build development on the Willamette River in the city of Independence, Oregon. A public, private partnership, EHG with partner Tokola Properties were selected as the lead developer through an RFP process with the City of Independence. On the west bank of the Willamette river, in the southern Willamette Valley wine region, the boutique upscale hotel embraces the river with a highly customized design intended to serve the local university, wine tourism, cycling and water sports as well as local business needs. The hotel features cycling-friendly amenities including in-room storage, a 24-hour bike work-room and outdoor bike-wash stations and full-service restaurant and bar featuring local wine, brews and fresh, seasonal ingredients. EHG is the management company and an owner.
The Dundee — A Trace Hotel, located in the heart of the renowned Willamette Valley where world-class wine tasting adventures and leisure abound. With a stylish vibe and touches of luxury, The Dundee is the perfect place for unwinding and refreshing. EHG purchased the charming boutique hotel, located on Dundee’s rapidly evolving Main Street and while operating the hotel has attracted investment to undergo a substantial renovation and expansion. The Dundee features a swanky Boardroom and six bunk Squad room for traveling with friends and five premiere tasting rooms located on the ground floor of the hotel. Guests enjoy 20 tasting rooms within 10 blocks, nearly 40 more in the Dundee Hills, and dozens of others in the 5 premier AVAs that surround Dundee.
EHG recognized a need for an extended stay hotel next to Intel’s largest and expanding campus, Ronler Acres in the high-tech corridor of Hillsboro, Oregon. EHG identified a site and gained entitlements where other developers had failed due to zoning challenges. The hotel opened in July, 2016, and was one of the fastest hotel developments from concept to land acquisition to opening in the Northwest in the last 15 years.
At the leading edge of adventure travel, the Society Hotel has been featured in the New York Times and is on USA Today’s top 10 list of Portland hotels This hotel pairs unique, historic guestrooms with great public spaces including the lobby/coffee shop and a rooftop lounge with 360 degree views. The project was envisioned by an energetic, forward thinking group of owners. EHG provided essential hospitality consulting to Society’s Hotels ownership team throughout development and continues to provide staff training and operations guidance.
The Avery is a redevelopment of a Boise landmark into a boutique hotel, fine-dining restaurant, gastropub, and bar, featuring acclaimed chef, Cal Elliott, who is returning to his Boise roots after great success and Michelin-star recognition in New York. The Avery’s exterior architectural charm, and beautiful interior spaces will feature one-of-a-kind, historic craftsmanship situate it to capitalize on industry trends and traveler preferences for unique, boutique properties, exceptional culinary offerings, walkability and deeper adventures into all things local. EHG has provided pre-opening consulting during the design phase, renovation is scheduled for summer of 2020, EHG is the management company for the hotel.
The Marina Plaza development includes a 122-room hotel, 188 residential units and integrated urban retail. The hotel will provide much needed, high-end business accommodations in this exceptional hotel market. EHG was retained by the land owner/lead developer to complete three phases of work: feasibility and market analysis, brand negotiation and city approval and development oversight/management. Having gained city approval, the first two phases are complete.
The Port of Vancouver retained EHG and Leland Consulting to bring a vibrant, mixed use development to their prime, riverfront Terminal 1 redevelopment site. EHG collaboratively incorporated ideal hotel components of the site plan, recruited developers through an RFQ process and negotiated development agreements with the finalist, who will construct a state-of-the art AC Hotel by Marriott. Located on the Columbia River and adjacent to the downtown core and the Interstate 5 Bridge, the former 10-acre industrial site will also feature office space, parks, a public market and restaurants in the rapidly expanding greater Portland.
