The Society Hotel
The Society Hotel – innovative adaptive reuse of an historic building in Portland, Oregon.
The Society Hotel is at the cutting edge of adventurous travel, and proudly defies the notion that you can’t have affordability and a great hospitality experience in downtown Portland. The has been featured in the New York Times and on USA Today’s top 10 list of Portland hotels. The Society hotel pairs small, historic guestrooms on its upper 3 floors and a first floor “poshtel” with engaging public spaces including the lobby, coffee shop and a rooftop lounge with 360 degree views. The project was envisioned by an innovative group of owners. EHG provided essential hospitality consulting to Society’s Hotels ownership team and input on architectural innovations in this adaptive reuse project. In addition to pre-opening work, EHG provided staff training and operations support, including revenue management oversight, maximizing marketing efforts, efficiencies, safety and risk reduction improvements.
